Parallel Session B2: Light baryons and mesons
- Johann Haidenbauer (Forschungszentrum Jülich)
Combined studies of exclusive meson photo- and electroproduction have extended the capabilities in the search for new excited states of the nucleon, the so called “missing” resonances. New excited state of the nucleon, N’(1720)3/2+ has been observed in the combined studies of the pi^+pi^-p photo- and electroproduction off protons data measured with the CLAS detector at Jlab. The results on the...
We present the results of the phase-shifts and scattering lenght/volumes of the scattering of two scalar glueballs in the framework of an effective approach of Yang-Mills theory with N=3 (QCD without quarks). We show that the interaction is attractive, hence we investigate if a bound state can form. Quite interestingly, it seems possible.
Exclusive photoproduction of $\rho^0(770)$ mesons is studied using the H1 detector at the $ep$ collider HERA. A sample of about 900000 events is used to measure single- and double-differential cross sections for the reaction $\gamma{}p\to \pi^{+}\pi^{-}Y$. Reactions where the proton stays intact ($m_Y=m_p$) are statistically separated from those where the proton dissociates to a low-mass...
